Wondering how we work at our Johannesburg location?
Are countertops installed on the exact same day as the cupboards?
No. Countertop fabricators can only take precise templates once the base cupboards are securely anchored into position. The fabrication and installation of quartz or stone tops usually adds an extra 5 to 7 working days after the joinery is installed.

Review for Universal Kitchens – December 2024 Installation We had the absolute pleasure of working with Universal Kitchens for the installation of our new kitchen from 2 to 13 December 2024, with final sign-off on the 17th – and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. From the moment we first contacted them, the team displayed professionalism, care, and genuine interest in understanding our vision. Kenneth Mlambo guided us through the process with outstanding attention to detail, taking time to listen, share ideas, and ultimately inviting us to their showroom to review a stunning 3D-rendered design of our kitchen. His expert advice helped us make confident decisions on everything from cabinetry colours to countertops and fittings. The installation process began promptly on the 2nd of December, led by Mandi Mahlangu and site manager Johan Harmse. Their on-site team was exceptional – attentive to every detail and responsive to all our questions and queries throughout the process. We recently worked with Universal Kitchens on a big project that included custom vanities for five bathrooms, built-in cupboards, a coffee station, TV cabinet, and room dividers. After doing a lot of research and comparing companies, Universal ticked all the boxes. From the beginning, they took the time to really understand our ideas and personal style. They visited the site multiple times before putting together a detailed proposal that matched our vision perfectly.
